What does the nurse try to find out in Act 2 Scene 4?
The nurse asks Romeo if his servant can be trusted to keep the secret of Romeo and Juliet's marriage, and he insists his servant is “true as steel.” Juliet's nurse says that Juliet, too, is trustworthy and good—she is even choosing to honor her love for Romeo in spite of a marriage proposal from Paris.

The Nurse finally relents when Juliet is almost hysterical with frustration and tells her that she is to marry Romeo that afternoon at Friar Laurence's cell. The Nurse then leaves to collect the rope ladder that Romeo will use to climb into Juliet's bedroom that night.

In Act 2, Scene 4 of Romeo and Juliet, there is a fair amount of joking around among Benvolio, Mercutio, and Romeo, but the most important things that happen are that we learn that Tybalt is aggressively challenging the Montagues to a fight and Romeo and the nurse set up a plan for Romeo and Juliet to get married.
The Nurse enters to warn Juliet that Lady Capulet is approaching. Romeo and Juliet tearfully part.

The Nurse enters Juliet's room and discovers her seemingly lifeless body on the bed. The Nurse tries to wake her, but believing her to be dead, cries out to the family in desperation. The Capulets, Friar Laurence, and Paris enter the room in response to the Nurse's cries.
The Nurse discovers Juliet under the spell of Friar Laurence's potion in act four, scene five, and the grief of her death as seriously as she mourned Tybalt. She is, finally, present at the real deathbed of Romeo, Juliet, and Paris, though speechless.
Synopsis: Lorenzo, Gratiano, Solanio, and Salarino try to arrange a masque for Bassanio's dinner that night. Lancelet brings Lorenzo Jessica's letter indicating that she will rob her father and, in disguise as a page, elope that night with Lorenzo.
